How do i get sounds (itunes, internet, real player etc...) to play out of Digi 001?

i know i'm getting crazy with the questions but.... help a brova out! [img]images/icons/tongue.gif[/img]
i keep having to switch back and forth (i only have headphones, no speakers) from my Digi 001 to the back of my mac.
i plan on getting some monitors soon. once i do... how will be able to spin records, play with my sampler and listen to Itunes?

You can either download the coreaudio driver, or hook up a cable from your mac's headphone output to your monitor inputs on the digi001.

Check out the DUC's search feature, you can find answers to a lot of common questions quickly by doing a search. Most newbies don't notice that the search feature exists, but it's an extremely valuable resource, especially if you're just getting started.

Then go into system prefs. and select 001 as output default if your putting in the core audio driver...Then the sound will come out of the 001 even if PT software isn't open...Peace...

itunes is coming out of digi001 very nicely!
but how about inernet audio?
that'd be really nice.

oh and one more thing... is that crazy "drive" looking icon that says "digidesign CoreAudio1.2" gonna stay on my desktop forever?

The Core Audio Application is for OSX. What about for OS9? Isn't there a core audio Application? Is there a way to route iTunes from OS9 to the 001? Thanks

In OS9, you just need to go to the sound control panel and select your output to be "digidesign"

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Arial">You can drag that to the trash now that you're done with it. As far as "internet audio"... not sure what you mean there, but the current coreaudio drivers have some limitations, you might need to wait for the next version to get what you want.
