Default ProControl Control 24

I knew in advance that these were EOL with PT 11 so no surprise there. I am curious why some 3rd party can't write a profile for PT 11 for these controllers?
Does anyone know why not? Couldn't you just write a new 'driver' since these are basically hardware/software units?

So many studios have these controllers in multiple rooms and to replace everything and also move to HDX and PT11 will cripple many studios. Plus we still love our ProControls over here....

Thanks.
