Pro Tools Studio Perpetual Licence

I currently have Pro Tools 2020.5 on a perpetual licence and am interested in upgrading to Pro Tools Studio but not as a subscription - i.e. I want a perpetual licence which I don't need to renew. Is this possible and if so how much is it?

According to an email I got from Avid this morning it sounds as if they are currently offering perpetual reinstatements back to ver. 12.

Remember; if you buy this directly from Avid, it is immediately in effect, and the one year update/support plan, with its ekstra plugins and features, starts running.

On the other hand, if you buy from a reseller, you get a simple code that can be used when you want. That's what I did at their last sale, and I haven't used it yet.

Same here. I have a couple banked from Thomann. In either case, I'm happy to see Avid extend the option to users with expired licenses.

Thats great news, I also got this message, but will the new perpetual Pro Tools Studio licence work on my computer with El Capitan? which I need for Pro Tools 12

or do I need to upgrade my OS first ? and to what OS?

Thank you, looks like I would need to update to Big Sur or later.

If I did upgrade to Pro Tools Studio, would that me me losing my Pro Tools 12 version, which I want to use on an older computer?

I can't see how you read it like that.
I read it like:
if you want to run the latest version of PT12, you can do it on MacOS up to High Sierra.
And if you get a current perpetual license on your ilok key, it will let you run latest version of PT on a modern mac, AND plug it into an older mac w/PT12, and it will authorize there too.

I'm currently on an expired perpetual 12.6.1. Can someone please confirm the "GET CURRENT" in the dropdown shown in the attached screenshot will upgrade me to a perpetual of the current, up-to-date software?

Your attatchment is not working:

I log in to avid, My Products, click on my perpetual license and get this:

which lets me 'get current', at a discount now.
