Default PRO TOOLS LE ON A LAPTOP

HI,

I have a Gateway Solo 1200 laptop computer with Windows ME, 800mhz and 256mb ram. Has anyone gotten Pro Tools LE to work on there laptop? I only have an internal sound card (NOT AM III.) When I try to load Pro Tools LE, I get the message "A required DLL, Cfd.dll file was not found."
I have tried to delete the current Wave driver but it didn't help.
There has got to be a way to get Pro Tools Le to work on a laptop without the AMIII sound card. Please tell me how.

Are there any external sound cards that I can buy to get Pro TOols LE to work? What models?

Thanks in advance!

I don't know why "there has to be a way". But protoolsLE only works with the digi001 or the amiii card. If you want to use Protools on a Notebook then download the FREE protools from their web site.

Exception: There is a way to plug one of these PCI cards into your notebook but you first must purchase a PCI to PCMCIA card adapter. If you search the forum I think you'll find a link. FYI the adapter runs around $800.

Well now you can run LE on a laptop without spending too much money ( magma + digi001 ).

The Mbox is here.

Usb. Sort of like a dongle for remote LE.
