Fn keys on new Mac Studio

Hey guys, I got a weird one that I can’t figure out. I upgraded a rig to a Mac Studio running Ventura 13.3. It’s running ultimate 2023.9.0

We cannot figure out how to get the function key shortcuts to work in protools. We checked the “ use F1,F2, etc keys as standard function keys. Nada. Any suggestions? I’m sure this is something stupid.
