Pro Tools Crashed and Never Recovered.
Hey guys.
I need your assistance. I'm running Pro Tools 6.4 with an MBox 2 on a Mac Powerbook G4 OSX 10.3.9 I was in the middle of a session and the mac powered down (it's didn't really let me know it was ever running on reserve power...but that's a whole other set of issues) Anyway it powered down...abruptly. When I plugged in the computer the session had lost contact with the MBox2. When the MBox 2 came back to life it gave me an error message (that I can't exactly recall) and gave me no option but to quit the session. I quit the sesson. Pro Tools hasn't loaded since. It'll get to the through the first little bit of startup, maybe just before it should be searching for the hardware connection...and then it just dissappears. At first I thought I'd fried my MBox but when I plug a working MBox2 into the system, it behaves the same way. I've tried uninstalling Pro Tools and re-installing....but nothing fixes it. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Wayne TheProtomen.com |
