Default Ilok and Waves

Can I use my Ilok key with Waves plug-ins and other companies plug-ins at the same time?

Waves recomends to use a separate ilok for it's plug ins, and not mix it with other authorizations .

What have you experienced ?

I had never noticed that Waves suggests using separate iLoks and I never have, my licenses seem to work fine together. It would seem stupid to have to use more than one iLok.

Waves recommends putting just their plug-ins on a single iLok, separate from your other authorizations, as they administer repair or replacement of their authorizations vie iLok directly. If you have other authorizations on the iLok, you'll run into a whole heap of trouble because the iLok will have to go to Waves to get their plug-ins taken care of, then back to iLok for all your other authorizations.

DigiTechSupt is correct (thanks), we did suggest this when Waves moved to iLok authorization to better service Waves Customers who may experience problems with Waves on iLok. However, this was only a suggestion and not necessary. At this point we are finding that the normal RMA process at www.ilok.com is a very efficient, and sending the iLok to Waves is not necessary at all to get taken care of. We only ask that you provide us with your iLok.com RMA case number and the verification from Pace on the key# and Waves authorizations on it.

If you have any questions on this, please feel free to contact Waves Tech Support direct at 865-909-9200 x1
