ASPI probs with Chickensys Translator

Chickensys translator will not run!

First the comctl32.ocx file was missing. I downloaded an installer containing the file from the microsoft website. Now there's no error message, but Translator will not run, when I double-click it. Nothing happens at all.

I've installed ASPI 4.71-2, but when checking the ASPI layer, two of the four files are version 4.6.
Why ?!

i've run into aspi problems while installing cd rippers. try removing it and installing only ver 4.6. that's what did it for me.

that's what I did the first time, and it didn't work. I can't possibly be the only one with this problem!! maybe it's a Windows XP issue .. ?

When installing Translator it's best to let it install the ASPI layer that's package with the version.
I have noticed that the various installations of the ASPI layer that you can find install things differently.
