Default Feature Request?

Hi, since i am unable to find the old feature request form, i thought i would post them here, in the hope that digi will either read them or point me in the direction of where i should be posting these now!

1: Easy way to cycle through previous audiosuite processes of a region. As in, maybe right-click on a region in the edit window will let you select and replace it with previous incarnations of what it used to be.

2: Audiosuite handles. I would love to be able to enter a handle value of all my Audiosuite processes so if i need to, or do something studip, i can pull out past what i had selected previously.

Yes i have been using Audiosuite alot today...

3: Pre-record buffer, maybe when a track is record armed it automatically starts recording for a pre-determined amount of time, so you can later pull out a handle earlier than when you actually started recording (hope that made sense!)

Would love to see these implemented, or if they exist and i have missed them for someone to point them out!

Thanks guys, Matt

Hi Matt!

For the first one you ask... Try duplicating the playlist each time you apply some audiosuite to your regions, so with a single click you will have acces to previous regions. I don't understand what do you mean on the second. Bur for the third one, it already exist, when you have tracks armed in quick punch mode from the moment you hit play Pro Tools starts recording, just use the trim tool to go back on the region to some point before you presed REC.

Hope the helps,

Jordi

If number 2 meant that you'd like to have a way to remember how certain plugins were set in your songs, is it hard to remember? I mean, I've got a great memory for numbers, so maybe that's how I remember to keep my settings the same for each plugin (if I want it to be). But you may find that it's better at a setting in one song, and not in another.

As for number 1, I would agree with above. Duplicate a track and make it inactive after you set an effect. Or just try one, process it, and then Edit > Undo

"Quick punch" starts recording the second you start the transport running!

sorry guys just to clarify, what i meant for number 2, is say you select a region that is 10 seconds long, and perform an audiosuite task to it, by preselecting a "handle" time (lets say "2 seconds") you would actually be processing that region, plus 2 seconds extra at the beggining and end, that may not be visible in your edit window, giving you a total of 14 seconds of processed audio (10 seconds visible, original length, plus 2 seconds, either side to play with). obviously the original file would have to be longer than the region been processed... every now and then, i will get to an audiosuite region and try to pull it out to fade it in (or whatever) but realise i processed it too short, or originally didnt need the extra time.

quick punch also sounds like a good tip, thanks for that one!
