Can I edit on M-Powered if file is from LE?

I'm wondering if one can edit an aiff file, created on PT 6.9LE, with PT M-powered?

Yes, you can. Just be aware that if you are using MP version 7, you'll need to save the session back to 6.x if you're giving it back to the original owner.

What exactly do you mean? I actually wasn't aware that there was an MP version 6.x... but I'm new to this. I'm getting MP version 7, but do not have access to PT 6.9LE. Am I just out of luck? Any suggestions?

No. You're fine. You can open and edit anything from anybody with MP version 7. The caveat is that if you're going to give the session back to its original owner after you edit the material, you'll need to make sure they can open it. If they're running version 6.x, you'll have to use the 'save copy in' command on your system to make it so they can open it back up.
