Superfast Tempo Playback Problem

So i've been trying to do my usual tracking with pro tools and Im running into this glitch that plays back whatever tempo at double the speed. For example, if I set the tempo to 80, it plays at 160. This is extremely frustrating and I can't seem to figure out what could be causing this. Any suggestions would be a blessing.
