Default New Digi User

I just bought an MBox with Pro-Tools v5.3.3. I am in the process of learning how to use it. I have been studying the manual and using tryial and error, but have run into 2 problems that I can't seem to figure out on my own. First, I cannot get the Click and Playback to play on the same output device. My click wants to use my basic computer speakers and my playback wants to use the MBox itself as an output. I don't realy prefer which to use at the time, but, I would like that they both come out of the same device so while recording I can hear myself and the click and not have to choose between the two.

The next problem is that I am using a Yamaha AN200 to record a couple loop sequences along with the other tracks. When I listen to it through the program in real time, it sounds fine, but after I record and play back there is a noise that's as if it were peaking or there were a bad chord, which there is not.

What am I missing here? I may look like an idiot for having such basic questions, but I'm dumbfounded on the issues. Please Help. Thank you very much.

The click isn't really the issue I need addressed. That I can deal with, I just put it up because I had a more important question. I keep getting a fuzz when I playback anything. It inputs fine. I can temporarily stop the fuzzing by changing the H/W Buffer Size, but then after recording for a few seconds, 20 at most, it gradualy comes back and gets worse untill I change the H/W Buffer Size again. Then the process repeats. Please, does anybody know why this is happening? Does it have to do with the perfomance of my computer?

Can't answer that question without knowing everything there is to know about your computer, and since you haven't posted details... well...

Try reading through the General Troubleshooting thread to make sure that your computer meets the required specifications and is set up as required and recommended, then if all of that fails, load Sandra and run the report as directed at the end of the thread and post the details of your PC so we might be able to help you better.

One thing I'd like to recommend (and many here might disagree with me) is upgrading to the latest version of Protools.

You must have Service Pack 1 installed for proper operation of Mbox.
