I doubt if anyone has PT running sucessfully with Lion.

From Avid:

"Apple recently released detailed information about OS X Lion (Mac OS X 10.7), which will be available to customers in July 2011. As of this writing Pro Tools 9 and all earlier versions of Pro Tools software are not compatible with OS X Lion. We are currently working with Apple in order to establish full compatibility with Pro Tools 9 and will notify you as soon as this work has completed."

Was there something wrong or missing with OS 10.6.7 that prevented getting any PT projects done that Lion has and would make it more effient and better?

Good question! I guess the answer is... NO!?

But Avid should sort the Lion compatibility out quickly, because people buying new macs starting today will get their machines with Lion only...

I have faith that Avid will update PT9 for Lion muuuuuch faster than Digi ever updated PT for a new OS release. I'm a long time Digi user (since 1994). I expect better from Avid because, so far, my experience with Avid has been better. If we were talking about Digi, I'd be hoping for Lion compatibility in early 2012. As for Avid... call me silly, but I have a feeling it'll be ready by August. September at the worst... but I'm obviously just guessing.

In a word, Xsan. Yes, I know Pro Tools no likey Xsan. But it is built into Lion, and if you are an audio post engineer, you might work in a shop where a true A/V SAN solution has suddenly become accessible at $30 a seat as opposed to $1000 per seat. In that case, your organization may be anxious to upgrade, and you are stuck looking for ways to play with it.

Of course if that shop is also a FCPX shop then they can't play with Xsan yet anyway...

This might be Wave's V8r7 compatibility with Lion, rather than PT9 itself.
But anyway, it is still far from stable operation on Lion.
How did you get past the plug-ins loading and get the program to fully open?
