Check out 'Black Beauty', my new PC.....

Well, I'm Black and I'm proud now. Some good friends helped me put together my dream PC, 'The Black Beauty', and I just got most of the tweakin done. I had been using a little Compaq 700mhz w/ a 15" monitor for over year (just 11 tracks on Dave_C). This looks like it was designed by Darth himself, and what's in it's not bad either.

Athlon XP1700+
GigaByte GA-7VTXH+ (Built in SB & Ethernet)
WD BB_series system drive (20GB)
GForce II 400 - 64MB
256MB PC2100 DDR DRAM
1394 Firewire 40GB Audio Drive (black)
Floppy Drive
24X CD-RW

So, let me gloat for just tonight. It's been a long wait...

Hey Roy,

How much louder is this monster? Any plans for silencing? I'm still using a PIII550 (12 tracks on Davec), and almost feel scared to upgrade because of the noise.

Like your friend, I had someone like you who built it for me. Along with advice from some great people here on the DUC, I was able to decide which parts I wanted and could afford. But, yeah, definitely got it together with the help of friends...
