Default Switching from 6.4 to 5.3.1!!!

I regret to say that I've stepped back into 5.3.1. For the most part PT6 runs fine. I get the odd quirky crash once in a blue moon. But the real reason is the shear speed and stablity of PT5. I do like the new features in 6..... very much, but since I use LE for editing at home, 5 is far... FAR more produtive.

I truely hope in Protools 7+ the boys at Digi work on the code a bit. The slow screen redraws and sluggish preformance (campaired to PT5.3.1) is not cool at all. I know most peoples' reaction is going to be that perhaps my computer is too slow or that THEY don't have this problem, well, sorry that's not the case. The facts are that 6 is sluggish.

Just my thoughts. Take it or leave it.

Radeon 9800 pro (128mb)

I'm sorry to hear that Jayman. I hope you don't miss the features in pt6 too much.

The biggest feature I miss right now is the A-Z power commands. Then the spiffy new gaphics is 2nd

Well, I switched back a while... But I missed rewire and the much easier way to use the TC/E-tool (which I never use anymore). Especially the lack of rewire made it REAL hard for me too keep using PT 5.x so I just had to upgrade again. If you can live without it then that's great for you man!
