Default Pro tools 9 registration help.

I bought a pro tools 9 license from the classifieds on this forum. I was able to install and use the software. When I tried to register the software it asked me for a hardware code. I guess this software was bought with an interface, it is not hd. Guys am I hosed here ? What recourse do I have? Do I buy a cheap interface? I'd hate to do this, but is it my only recourse?
Thanks for the help!

Don't think that should be a problem you can buy nine without hardware no problem

Keep asking for Digi customer support to get on line here and hopefully they can help you straighten it out

If it was a PT x > PT 9 upgrade you are probably out of luck. The PT 9 upgrade does require a hardware serial number in order to use it...

I do not work for Avid (their loss)...my only relationship with Avid is that of a customer (when I'm not too poor to buy stuff, like now)...and that hot administrative assistant...that's more of a "thing" than a "relationship" (that should keep them guessing for a while...)

Just rockin'...what more is there?
