sync pop question
I am working on a project that now calls for me to send various mixes to the producers for syncing to animation/video. They have asked for a sync pop in front of each mix. I have e-mailed them to determine whether they want it on 2 or 3, and as to what frame rate they are using. Stylus has a sync tone I can use.
My dilemma is this: As an LE user, in the past I have just done the math to sync music with various video events, then nudged as needed. Will a conversion strategy be accurate enough for placing a tone for these guys to sync to? Is 1000ms divided by the framerate accurate enough? Or is accuracy even an issue on my end where a sync pop is concerned? Thanks for the help, gang. Jerry |

Re: sync pop question
They want a short "beep" that's 2 seconds in front of the start of the cue/music. Put the "beep" in the session so that's it's always in the same spot if you remix the song.. and deliver the mix with the beep audible before the song by exactly 2 seconds.
