Default HELP - Really Simple Question..

Hi Everyone,
Happily joining the PT community.

really simple - I haven an iLok account , do I need the physical iLok to run the PT
11 trial?

If not, what I do actually do in the account to get the license.what link on the page?

and as a related follow up, I'm on EC 10.11.1 should I be good with 11 or
is LE or another version better for that OS?

Yes. As stated on the PT11 trial page:
  • You must have a second-generation USB iLok...

El Capitan support was added in 12.3, so 11.x is not recommended. Our Pro Tools Operating System Compatibility Chart shows which versions are supported.

any focus rite capable version of PT and its trial I can use on EC without the physical iLok?

Welcome to the forum Yes, you need an iLok 2 to run the trial(they put a licence in your account with an expiration date). Can't help on the OS question, but the link above called Additional Resources will(if you can follow the navigation) take you to a compatibility page showing which versions of PT work with which versions of OSX. And for the record, LE is an obsolete term(version 8 was the last to have an "LE" version)
