Default Second pair of monitors

For those that has several pairs of monitors connected to the XMON - do you use the TB/LB/UTIL DSub connector? And, does such a snake exist, as shown in "D-Command_Monitor_44748.pdf"? It has 5 XLRF and 3 XLRM.

Thanks.

BTW, I'm thinking of getting a pair of Avantone active Mixcubes. Anyone tried them?

We do use the TB/LB/UTIL DSub connector for AFL, the mini speakers, TB out, and a listen mic. We made our own connector with only the cables we needed. I am sure you could order such a cable from Redco for example, but I can't imagine such a configuration off the shelf so to speak.

And no, haven't tried the active mix cubes. We use something smaller and lower quality for tv speaker reference.

Maybe I should roll my own? I'll look around if there's parts available in this godforsaken country. Thanks.

Guys, I need some help here.

I ended up buying a DSub-XLRF snake, and I've connected it to the TB/LB/UTIL. I've made two cables with XLRM in both ends, and connected them to outputs 6 and 7 of the aforementioned snake. When I press Mini on the console, there is signal to both speakers, but it's weak, and shifted to the right. Both speakers are currently set to +6db gain.

I must have done something wrong. Thoughts?

I flipped the cables at the speakers, and the signal shifted to the left. Hmmm...
