Default Dual 003s?

Ok, I'm fairly new to the audio recording scene, but I know my way enough to get by. Basically, what I've been wondering for some time: is it possible at all to get 24 inputs to pro tools LE? The only way i can think of is for two 003s to be hooked together, and then into Pro Tools, but somehow I doubt that works, seeing as I 've seen nothing of the matter anywhere on the net. The only other thing I can think of is you'd have to get an HD rig for that to work. Any thoughts or input is greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

there are only a maximum of 18 inputs and outputs with LE

you can achieve 16 using 2 digi003s, although I think one has to be the console as it can run in standalone mode

you connect adat out of digi003 (in standby mode) into adat in of digi003 connected to the computer... clock must be set to adat

you can also use other adat pre's - behringer, rme and focusrite make them to name a few

you also need an spdif ad converter to get the extra 2 channels

AFAIK there is no Standalone mode option with 003.
Only with 002.

If you have a true need for the inputs not just a desire switch over to using the mAudio ProFire Lightbridge.
