I think Avid Waited to long. Apple and Windows has been 64 bit for a long time. Just like McDSP and Sonnex got the heads up a few years ago from Avid. I'm sure Avid had the heads up before Apple and Windows went 64bit.

Say what you want about how long it takes to code which is obviously true because no one wants to Code for HDX DSP. Avid should of made the jump sooner.

Instead of people being excited about the new cards and every TDM user upgrading. They are disappointed and waiting

If Avid would of come out with new DSP cards back when Apple switched from PCIx to PCIe instead of Milking every last dime out old TDM tech we wouldnt be in this situation

Now PCI cards are at the end of there life span and Avid wants you to drop 10k just to crossgrade. Sorry but most people are smarter
What are you saying no Sountoys AAX DSP support?
that's not what they told me...they hope to be able to do it for the end of spring 2012...

cheers

Tha's completely false. Softube, sonox mcdsp, plugin alliance (which includes brainworks and others), cytomic and others are already coding or plan on starting soon for dsp, the biggest one missing the boat here is waves.

Someone should create an account and call it "carp" or "Diccor" and post about the evils of apogee and RME.

as childishly funny as it sounds (the idea or the one who may actually be doing it, not you TB)... Naaah.

Starting to remind me of when masterduk came back as "the unbanned" and several other accounts that all got banned within 10 posts.

I'd forgotten about that but since you mentioned it it all comes back like a bad meal. What they ought to do when banning someone is to nuke their ip address like TC does on their forums.
