Default waves and dither

I am still playing with some waves plug ins. I was reading on another fourm about setting up some waves for mastering. It was saying use the i think the l2 and idr dither. Looking at plugns like the l1 and 2 etc looks like they have a dither option? so my question is do you still have to put another dither plug in on? or do they dither?

No, they have the IDR dither built-in, no need to add any other dither plugin.

Waves L2 has a dither function built in. You just have to select the output bit depth on the plugin.

The IDR dither plugins also show up as an option under the "dither" plugins.

So if you were not using a waves limiter, but some other brand, you could still apply just the IDR dither.
