Bad playback sound

Here's the deal the best I can explain:
Windows 7 computer - Pro tools 10 - Eleven Rack w/expk - rack power amp - speakers.

I finally figured how to record guitar track but when I play it back it sounds all warbled, choppey, distorted, low volume.
For kicks I tryed to play a song in windows media player and it sounded the same through this set up.

Is this the "USB" cable problem I read about or is it the a clock sync issue.
FYI, I bought this 11r a few weeks ago and it was a PTLE 11r but they included the PT10 upgrade and EXPK and ilok.

Are you recording and playing back from the OS hard drive? Its best to record to a secondary physical non OS hard drive.

Are your drivers up to date?

Also make sure the Eleven Rack is plugged in directly to the PC not to a Hub.

Try another USB port.

Try another USB cable.

it was the junk USB cable that came with the 11R. New USB cable did the trick.
