Error Message on Startup - "access privileges (-5000),"
I am running PT 10 on a Macbook Pro with OS X Lion (new) and after downloading a number of RTAS plugins i found that most of them weren't showing up in the inserts list on the mix window, so after some online help I dragged these plugins into the folder located;
HD> Library> Applications Support> Avid> Plugins Now when I try to open PT it comes up with the error message; 'You do not have the necessary access privileges (-5000),when trying to access "Unicode". After doing a search of the forums for a solution I went into the Unicode folder within Utilities and deleted whatever was in there, I've also deleted all the plugins that I originally moved to the folder, have completely uninstalled PT and it's related files and then reinstalled it - and it still comes up with the error message no matter what. The only thing I can see that might work is to completely restore and wipe my HD and start again (it's a new mac so there's nothing essential that I need to keep yet). So before I do this, any help on the matter would be appreciated. |
