Quit error message?!
I receive this error message (attached) every time I quit PT, even though I have just saved the session and quit PT correctly.

Re: Quit error message?!
Hey
For us it was a bad plugin and that plugin was Slate Digital EiosisEQ that kept is from quitti g PTU without having to force quit PT. Wetook it out and all 3 of our PTU systems on Mac Pros 2019 works great now. It can be a demo plugin or an old version of a plugin that keep disrupting so sadly you might need to go thru your plugin library to find the offender in the AAX folder.

Re: Quit error message?!
I don't have to force quit though. I close the session, then quit Pro Tools, and it shuts down. After several seconds, the error message appears (i.e. well after PT has actually quit!).

Re: Quit error message?!
The message is 100% reliably telling you something is failing. A slight delay in the notification system to post a message like this is normal.
As always suspect a plugin, (even if Chris was mentioning a different issue). Standard stuff... - Trash prefs. - If you remove *every* .aaxplugin file from Pro Tools does this still happen? - If it still happens does it still happen with only some sessions? - Do the Pro Tools log files show anything different near their ends when this happens vs. not? As with most issues, you should just jump in and do standard troubleshooting steps... |
