Default Does this mean 6.7 LE/WIN XP works with MIDI I/O ?

Quote:
With Windows-based systems, support of MIDI Time Stamping and MIDI I/O brings some of the most accurate playback timing resolution available on any platform, as continues to be the case on Mac-based systems as well

Does this now mean that the MIDI I/O will now work on WIN XP with the 6.7 upgrade?? I think I read it right, Hope so.

AND why isn't the upgrade free? Seems like we gonna be paying $75 every few month, which IMO think is a WHOLE HEAP OF B-$#!+ to the 10th power. The way i see it is: $75 PLUS the $$$ you'll have to spend to upgrade 3rd party plug-ins to cure new errors created between plugins designed for 6.4 and new featurings of 6.7 and so on and so on.

P.S. I wonder what DIGI is doing with all the "Hardware Exchanged" interfaces???? Are the parts being recycled into the new interfaces? or what?

As for the MIDI I/O, it appears yes, according to page 51.

I'm not happy about the $75, either. Even though it has a ton of new stuff, and I'm really happy and eager, it's still a point release...

beat detective isn't a point release IMO...

but try having to upgrade from a 001 to get it!!! I'm not very happy at all! less than 2 weeks after buying my 001 digi announced it's death (I mean, it being discontinued)

OUCH for me

I think I agree with you there, as well as a lot of the other new features. I guess it's all semantics; what I would call 7.0, digi is calling 6.7 (and charging us for!!)

I ditched my 001 for the 002r this past spring for exactly this reason, and now I have to shell out another $75? Grrr.
