Thanks Tom! Good to hear you too. I am more happier because the exceptional feature set and support I get from Reaper. Just having both in my arsenal have spun alot more ideas that I couldn't have dream of with just Pro Tools. So far I am looking for a new interface to better work with Reaper because the Mbox 2 drivers for 64bit still seems buggy(blue screen when at the log in screen then plug out or after coming out of stand by) ..not sure why either. I know my system is fine because I used an old tascam with it and everything works great. Oh well!

hello. I am curious how you were able to see how many cores your computer is using. I have an amd quad and want to see visually if it is running to its normal potential as I put it all together and am not sure if I have all settings set for it to run smooth. I have done the windows 7 optimizations and have everything set to run smooth but as far as ram and cpu I just want to make sure it is running the right way. also is it safe to run ram overclocked at the right speeds for protools? or in other words is it recommended or does it cause problems? yeah crazy dumb questions sorry. lol

Run up Windows Task Manager and open the performance window.

You can overclock and overvolt RAM only to the limits of the system and the RAM itself, not beyond.

ok I have done that but I don't see were it shows how many cores I am actually using. weird. also I understand I can only overclock to the specified speeds to avoid damage but I want to know if you recommend it or see any benefit or if it is known to cause problems?
