Anyone try this yet on a ProTool 8.0.4 LE system yet.

I just followed your link to OSX 10.6.5
I believe if you are going to update to OSX 10.6.5 > you are suppose to use the combo updates.
You can look it up in the support section for PT8 and whichever Mac computer you are running.

Here is the page with the , I believe correct downloads > http://support.apple.com/downloads/#macosx106

*** However - I don't believe this version is supported yet by Digi / Avid so beware ..
If it is, please let me know .. or, if you upgraded nd having "NO" issues, let me know

thanx

Yeah, I shoulda posted the combo update. I was really just linking to that for the info on what's in it.

I have no idea if this is compatible, but just wanted people to be aware that it's out.

I think it will be the last one with Lion coming soon. Yay another operating system coming out as PT9 appears. I wont be getting this until Avid qualifys PT for it.

Actually, I updated to 10.6.5 last night and then installed Pro Tools 9 and unlike Pro Tools 8.0.4 cs2 which had made me feel miserable, today all the sessions I had problem with, worked like a breeze. It's the best move I have made since version 7 something. I am very happy that I did the upgrade. ( upgrade to Pro Tools 9). I'll find out in the long run if the OS update was a good move or not!!!

I accidentally updated via Software Update. I've run a few modest sessions and so far no problems. I am on 8.0.4, but I have not yet installed cs2.
