Shooting in the dark, but I think it may be that you should unassign the FP16 as a MIDI Input Device.
My C|8 requires only the Peripherals Dialogue to be entered, but again it's a C|8, not a C|16.

Also have you turned off the USB port power savings measures in Windows? Is the Faderport plugged in and turned on when starting your computer? |

You mean just uncheck it in that first pic?

Yup, that's what I mean. Again, shooting in the dark.

Re: Pro Tools 2020.9.1 and Faderport 16 not working
I'm not sure if this has been covered?
However, I can't make a receive (send is fine) connection in Protools with my Faderport 16, In the midi controller tab of Protools, PreSonsFP16,Prt1 andPrt2 show up in the Send to section, but they don't appear in the Receive drop-down menu. So the faders work on the fader port when I use the faders in Protools, but not the other way around...... I've updated the firmware and I'm using a Mac mini..... and running the Universal control app. Could there be a problem with the Audio Midi setup side of my Mac? Any ideas? Thanks |

Re: Pro Tools 2020.9.1 and Faderport 16 not working
If you bought the FP16 new, the dealer would be my first point of contact. Second would be Presonus as they may have tech support available by phone. At this point, everything you do will be an experiment and I would start in that MIDI window at the top of your pics and uncheck everything for the FP and test. If that doesn't work, then add back each item, one at a time. From my own experience with HUI controllers, I have never needed to open that particular window for successful HUI function(still using my first-gen Faderport here)

Pro Tools and Faderport 16 - Fader touch = command key?
Hey there - I am having an issue that must have an answer hidden in plain sight. I am using a Presonus Faderport 16 with Pro Tools 2020.12 on Mac OS 11.5. If I am writing fader automation and click anything like Solo, a plug in, or anything else at the same time I'm touching a fader, Pro Tools reacts on the screen as though I have clicked that object with the command key pressed. I cannot solo or adjust a plug in while writing automation. Does anybody have a solution?
