"DAE error - 1115 was encountered" in LE w/ 002

Here's the setup:

Sweetwater custom computing computer: Pentium 4 (3.2GHz), 1GB of RAM, 72 GB hard-drive (internal), 200GB hard-drive (external), 1 fire-wire port. The digi 002 is connected to the only fire-wire port on the PC. My OS is Windows XP Home Edition. I have ProTools LE 7.

Errors that I have been seeing:

1. In the middle of a session, ProTools might freeze entirely. Sometimes, ProTools freezes as soon as I open a session.

2. Something to the effect of "ProTools cannot function because another program is using the hardware. Please close the other program then click OK." This usually occurs as I'm trying to open a session but before it is opened completely. When this occurs, I have never had another program open.

3. "DAE error - 1115 was encountered." I have no idea what this is in reference to, but it occurs the moment I try to open a session and then ProTools closes itself.

These are in the order that I began seeing them. The third error is the only error that I see now.

I have tried:

1. Turning the digi002 off and then back on. Nothing.
2. Restarting the computer. Nothing
3. Uninstalling and reinstalling ProTools. Nothing.
4. I checked all the cables to be sure they were secured. Nothing.
5. I downloaded and ran a virus scanner to see if I had any viruses, then uninstalled the virus scanner. Nothing
6. I downloaded spybot to check for spyware. Deleted all spyware. Deleted spybot. Nothing.
7. Uninstalled iTunes, SoundForge 8, Microsoft Office 2007, every program having to do with sound except QuickTime and Windows Media Player, plus everything erroneous except for internet software, hardware drivers, and necessary Windows programs and files. Uninstalled ProTools. Reinstalled ProTools. Same error messages.
8. I ran scandisk, disk cleanup on both hard drives, defragmented both hard drives in the hopes that maybe these simple opperations might make a difference. Nothing.

What do I do?! Please help!

I tried all of these but nothing worked. I'm at a complete loss of ideas.

The two that I didn't try are these:

"DAE -6096 or DAE -1115, FireWire communication problems.
"On some Windows XP computers, if a DAE error -6096 or -1115 occur, or you experience random communication problems between Digi 002 and Pro Tools, try disabling "PCI to DRAM prefetch" in the BIOS Setup utility.

This can be found in the BIOS > Advanced > Chip configuration."

and

"DAE error -1115 "Unable to communicate with faders" when launching Pro Tools and Digi 002. Dots in scribble strips on Digi 002. Faders are locked - in either mode (Stand Alone or online) or can't move faders. Pro Tools cannot find hardware.
All of these symptoms can possibly be rectified by plugging the 002 into a different outlet - preferably NOT on a power strip.

Other things to try:
1. Check fader firmware - update to most current version if needed.
2. Power down the 002
Hold down the ESC+Display+Rec buttons (the small rec button)
3) Keep holding down these buttons
4) Power 002 on. Keep buttons depressed until "Restoring Defaults..." appears onscreen
5) Allow Restoring Defaults... to run through its whole natural cycle. if it completes successfully, 002 will be left in Standby mode."

How do I get to "BIOS" in order to change my chip configuration and where do I find "Display" and "Rec" buttons? Neither of these buttons appears on my keyboard and I have the 002 rack.

Anyone have any other suggestions?
