Sounds like you received an "incomplete upgrade".

Rahther than waiting for them to respond here on the forum I suggest you call their Tech Support.

They are VERY good and will help you get going ALOT faster.

Darbilly - are you using the same Pro Tools installer that you initially downloaded, or have you trashed it and tried the download again? If you're using the original one, I'm thinking you may have a corrupted installer.

As everyone said, you may be better off calling in and speaking to a tech - either that, or provide a lot more information on your system (like a Sandra report) and all the troubleshooting steps you've tried so that we can try to get to the bottom of this.

I also got the "A fatal exception has occurred.
Pro Tools must exit.
A log file has been written to:C:\Program Files\Digideesige\Pro Tools Utilities\ExceptionLogFiles\Log-128101647991090000.ptx error. It kept showing this error while loading the plugins BUT, PTMP finally loaded up only after I moved my plugins folder to My Documents to see if it would load.

This sounds like you have at least one incompatible plug-in. You should double check that all the installed plug-ins are the minimum required for Pro Tools 7 compatibility using this grid:

Could it be "incompatible" ?

Just a thought...If it worked under 7.1 then you
have just proven the point of the Tech Support
statements.

Also, you may want to go here and contact them
to see if the version you are using has yet been
tested under PT 7.3 and if not when it will be
released.

Please, I've downloaded Sandra. should I use the "System Report"?
It is very, very, big! Is that right? What should I use for a report? Sorry, but I'm a bit confused here...
DigiTech didn't contact me yet...iLock said that there's no problem with my license...But they still checking ... I really would like to try a new link for download 7.3. If this does not work, I gonna be "stuck" with 7.1...
Thanks so much to all good people here for all the help!

Yes, please copy and paste the text of your Sandra report, so that we can take a look at it.
