Midi Setup
I've got a Digi001, MOTU Micro express & Yamaha Ex5. Simply, how can I get the Machines to get along in the midi world? Thanks.

Re: Midi Setup
I don't know the specs of your devices but I'll give it a try....
MOTU needs free midi and PT needs OMS so first install OMS and then install freemidi ( NOT THE OTHERWAY AROUND!!) I also had some trouble installing MOTU devices within OMS environments and the following did the trick: INSTALL 1. OMS 2.3.8 2. Free MIDI 1.4x 3. Midi express software REBOOT the computer 4.STARTUP PROTOOLS 5. Do OMS Midi setup within PT 6. install the Micro Express in OMS and make current ( also save this file !!! ) Connecting Midi devices is described in any manual thats related to these devices Your Welcome ! |
