Hi there, I'm trying to figure out how to record audio in Cubase Sx using an M-box on my PC. Any ideas?

You never stated what else you have installed, but if you haven't already, you need to install the ASIO driver

I'm not sure where to find the ASIO driver. I lost the 6.1 update disk but still have the 5.3 disk. I wrongly assumed that installing Pro Tools would also install the driver. In the manual it says to see the Digidesign ASIO Drive Read Me but I don't know where it is.

As for getting the asio driver, click on the words ASIO driver in the post above, or better yet, CLICK HERE.

There are links to the documents on that page, but just incase:

Don't know if any one is interested but here's the deal..
I installed the ASIO driver from the website and have sucessfully changed the Mastertrack input in Cubase SX to M-box and have done likewise for the inputs of the audio channels (the output is still Bus 1). The problem is that when I send a signal into the M-box it comes out the speakers but it is not registered on the meters in Cubase. What else is there for me to do?

That is probably why it is not metering in the master section of Cubase.Treat the Mbox as you would any other Soundcard.

Cheers guys. The problem is that there is no aural recording of the audio taking place despite having set up the ASIO Digidesign driver as my audio interface in Cubase SX.

I think if you do a little detective work it will work for you..I don't use Cubase so I can't direct you..But all my Apps that use the ASIO work perfectly in Playback or Record.

Mix knob, Mix knob, Mix Knob.

If it is on Input then RTFM

If it on Playback then you have another problem that I can't help with.
