Newbie needs help

If anyone has the tolerance for it, I'd appreciate the help. I'm still learning a lot of the basics. How do I enforce the beginning and end of a song? My cursor bracket thingy is pointing up and down instead of laft to right and it's driving me crazy! Any help would be appreciated.

Sorry - that's how I lame I am when it comes to this fahosawathumus. It turned out to be some time compression thing that made all my tracks play at different times so I undid it. I think I clearly need some kind of class or something - I'm way behind!

What version of LE are you using? If your using 7.x go to Setup>Preferences>Display>Tool Tips Display and click both Functions and Details box's, this will stop the confusion and the help you require can be carried out with little stress.

On the navigation bar at the top of this page, click on "DiSK". Then click on "DiSK Flix" and watch all of those videos. There is a lot of great, free, easily digestible information for the "newbie".

Thanks for the response- I'm using 6.7, but I don't see any disc option at the top of the page - that would ideal as it's the best way that I learn.

I beleive the reference was to the top of "this" page. The disk flix page is available from the "Education" link at the top of this forum. Here's a direct link if you get lost.

The Reference Guide (lovingly referred to as "The Manual") is available from the help menu within the program. It is a very helpful document for learning the program.

I would also like to recommend Grooveboxmusic.com. It's a pay site, but IMHO, it is very reasonable, and their video tutorials are top notch.
