Newbie needs help
If anyone has the tolerance for it, I'd appreciate the help. I'm still learning a lot of the basics. How do I enforce the beginning and end of a song? My cursor bracket thingy is pointing up and down instead of laft to right and it's driving me crazy! Any help would be appreciated.

Re: Newbie needs help
Ah, that troublesome cursor bracket thingy.
That's right next to the slide knob whatchamacallit, yes? Someone will help, I'm sure. I would if I could figure out what in the Sam Hill you were asking.

Re: Newbie needs help
Sorry - that's how I lame I am when it comes to this fahosawathumus. It turned out to be some time compression thing that made all my tracks play at different times so I undid it. I think I clearly need some kind of class or something - I'm way behind!

If your using LE 7.x have a look at this link. But if not and even if you are, take a look at this link, I found this book ideal, just short of a Pro Tools 101 course. filosofem

Re: Newbie needs help
On the navigation bar at the top of this page, click on "DiSK". Then click on "DiSK Flix" and watch all of those videos. There is a lot of great, free, easily digestible information for the "newbie".

Re: Newbie needs help
Thanks for the response- I'm using 6.7, but I don't see any disc option at the top of the page - that would ideal as it's the best way that I learn.

The Reference Guide (lovingly referred to as "The Manual") is available from the help menu within the program. It is a very helpful document for learning the program. I would also like to recommend Grooveboxmusic.com. It's a pay site, but IMHO, it is very reasonable, and their video tutorials are top notch.
