2019 Mac Pro - Separate Audio Disk?
Today I learned that two SSD units in the new Mac Pro CANNOT be formatted as separate disk volumes.
Over the years Avid has advised putting audio data onto a separate disk... Not the boot disk. That was easy in a cheese grater with Four drive bays. My question: Is it still necessary to put audio on a separate volume? For the new 2019 Mac Pro that will require disks in an MPX slot, disks in the Pegasus expansion module, or external USB/T-Bolt disks. I am wondering if Avid has relaxed the "separate disk" requirement now that machines and data access is so very fast. Will someone from Avid comment on this? |
