Default Dae Error 1501

In OSX on PT 6.1, we keep getting this error on startup. Any ideas? Thanks.

Best regards,

Hello,

This error can come up if you have parts of 6.0 and 6.1 installed.

The following should resolve this:

First uninstall Pro Tools 6.1 using the uninstaller at the following link:

http://download.digidesign.com/support/pt61remove.hqx

This uninstaller will remove everything Digi related for 6.1, Pro Tools App, drivers, etc.

Then run the Pro Tools 6.0 or 6.01 uninstaller (whichever you updated from). This can be run be launching the 6.0 Installer and choosing Custom > Uninstall.

Then go ahead and reinstall Pro Tools 6.01 and update to 6.1.

Mike

Thanks for the advice. I am trying it out. I am now getting the message after a sucesful install, that some items could not be uninstalled. and I am if course having the same problem with error 1501.

any ideas how to really get it clean of all my old pro tools files? A clean reinstall sound like a good start. (6.0 worked for me)
