Re: Pro Tools 2021.3 released
Still no luck , NO LUCK
Running on Win 10 20h2 , Avid stated months ago that Pro tools 2020 was not compatible with Win 10 20h2. In fact , it worked but was highly unstable , plus had some randoms AAE 9173 erros (CPU getting crazy and making the playback crashes , even with a strong computer ). I tried that with my i9 -10980h ( 16 threads) , 32 gb and up to 5.0 ghz with some Nvme SSD ... Even with 1 or 2 external plugins , and with all Cpu below 10% , the program crash with fluctuating spikes from the main TOTAL CPU . And it doesn't have to do with removing faulty plugin or something else , even with only AIR PLUGINS , opening just a folder , opening internet makes the program crash (again with all the cores below 10%) . Contacted Avid with my id , they said maybe it was because they stated that win 10 20h2 was not recommanded , but i can see clearly now , it's not my win 10 system . This is a nightmare for me . |

Re: Pro Tools 2021.3 released
For those that upgraded to Big Sur, did you check to see if all your 3rd party plugins were compatible? I'm seeing multiple ones for me that aren't so I'm waiting. Here are ones that are not yet compatible for me:
Here are ones I'm waiting to find out from the developers:
bottom line, check your plugins because while Pro Tools may be BigSur Compatible, your plugins may not be...

Re: Protools 2021.3
Are you running a pre-release of Big Sure 11.3? The latest version of Big Sur is currently still 11.2.3. Assuming it was a typo, the issue is probably the need to update the firmware for the HDX cards.

Avid said that my problem was because it was still pro tools 2020.12 So i was waiting , because they don't seem to find a solution to that issue . Now , with this new version , i tested it and i have exactly the same problems !! Thats what i'm saying |

Re: Pro Tools 2021.3 released
2020.12 was running ok on my Windows 20H2.
However, 2021.3 is a no-go. It complains that there is not enough memory available. I am running on 24GB and there is more than 15GB of free memory available when Pro Tools throws that error. Is there any way to revert back to the 2020.12 version till the Windows issues are resolved? On the Avid site only the 2021.3 download seems to be available...
