Default Whenever Accel card is inserted, Digitest won't launch

Hi, new member here with a question

I just bought a HD2 PCIe system used. The idea was to run it on my Mac Pro 3.1 2.8 Ghz quad-core machine. I've removed all traces go a previous Pro Tools 8 LE installment and inserted the 2 cards as stated in the guide. But when the Accel card is installed Digitest can't see any of the cards and the core audio manager crashes upon start.
Whenever I pull the Accel card everything works fine. The seller insists that both cards at testing ok on his system.
Anyone got an idea of what could be wrong? BTW I checked if the R35 resister is still on the Accel card and it is? Any help?

thanks Peter
