8.0.3 Installer Hang

My 8.0.3 upgrade installer seems to be hanging at the Finishing Installation>Running Application Files Installer script stage. Is anybody else experiencing this?

I've had PT (LE, not HD) installers take upwards of 25 minutes on the "scripts" sections at the end of the installer... always said 1 minute remaining.

I'm not sure how long you've been waiting, but I'd give it some time.

You are correct: 40+ minutes and it finished by itself. I don't know what that is about, but I'm sure it isn't necessary. Nonetheless, hopefully this post will serve as a beacon of hope for those similarly distressed.

If your "Home Folder" resides on another drive this is "Standard" behavior.
You would have had to change that manually in the system preferences.

I have been reporting this since the dawn of Leopard. But a fix has never been provide....

Home folder is on my OS/App hard drive, actually. Nonetheless, this is surely an "undocumented feature" of the installer, and most decidedly not an installer bug. You know, naturally.

2 issues in 10 years? Most software companies would kill for that kind of stability.
