Maybe due to this :
"For example, create a Catalog named “Thumps”
and fill it with sound effects from three different
volumes. You can then drag the Catalog from the
Workspace browser to another volume, and a
folder named “Thumps” is created on that volume.
All of the files referenced by the Catalog are automatically
copied to the volume. Folders and subfolders,
if any, and their contents are included in
the copy."

I've got the same issue. Don't know if this is normal... Feels like PT is doing stuff and using cpu, but am not sure. Would be great if an Avid-member would elaborate on this.

This task runs anytime I do a search in the workspace browser. It will run until you actually stop the search (or if it actually completes the search on it's own).
The workspace displays results as it finds them, but it is still searching in the background unless you actually stop it.

I assume the search would eventually finish, but we have a server with 16TB of space on it, so I never care to sit around and let it finish searching. The task running has never really slowed me down, but there have been a couple of times I just found it annoying and went and stopped the search in the workspace.

Amen. Make it stop. Seems new to latest version. (Have not updated my signature.)
