Speaker output
'Almost embarrassed to make this post, but I have been through the manuals, and can't find anything close to an answer.
I use M-Powered Pro-Tools 7.1, and my interface is the M-Audio Firewire Solo. How do I route my output to studio monitors? All I get now is output through my headphones. 'Have checked the I/O settings in "Setup" menu, but only the FW>Solo shows for input and output. Apologies for what I'm sure must be an elementary issue for all you pro's here. Dave C. in Las Vegas |

Re: Speaker output
Hi Dave,
Are your studio monitors powered? If not, you'll need an amp to power them - then hook up the 'balanced line outputs' of your m-audio interface to the inputs of your amplifier. This should do the trick! Make sure that Pro Tools knows to output the audio to the stereo out of your m-audio interface - it sounds like it does, as you have sound through your headphones. |
