New Artist Transport User - Having some issues with Mavericks and Logic X
Greetings All -
I'm making my first foray in to Eucontrol here and have recently finished setting up my new Artist Transport. There are a couple of issues I am having trouble with... First, the LED display seems to lockup frequently and doesn't update the timecode. I have found that movie the mouse or pressing keys on the keyboard seems to temporarily remedy the problem, but it always comes right back. I have read that disabling 'app nap' can fix this problem, but when I explore the properties of the Eucontrol app I don't see an option to disable it. (However, app nap IS disabled for Logic X. My other issue is with the shuttle wheel. It is behaving like an elastic band where I turn the shuttle wheel, and when I let go the playhead snaps back to where it started. Sometimes it snaps back and just keeps racing in the opposite direction... Do I have something set up wrong? So far I love the control surface, but I just can't seem to get this thing working quite right. Any suggestions? Thanks, -J |

Hi there - I and others are having this same problem with Mavericks. Have you found a solution? Here is a thread with others with the same problem:

Re: New Artist Transport User - Having some issues with Mavericks and Logic X
No I haven't been able to find a solution.
Everything I have read from Avid says "turn off app nap" which appears to not even to an option for the latest version of Eucontrol. Quite frankly its driving me nuts, and the main reason I bought the Artist Transport was for the friggin timecode display. As of now it's pretty worthless. I am VERY glad I didn't purchase the Artist control at the same time as I was planning on doing. |

Re: New Artist Transport User - Having some issues with Mavericks and Logic X
Did you try to use Eucon 3.1 instead of 3.1.2 ?
It worked for me. All my 3 Artist surfaces work well... with PT HD 11

I had this issue with Mavericks on a Mac Mini - but not with the new Mac Pro. I suspect the graphics card on the mini may have been the issue.
