HD Native - Slower 6 core or faster Nehalem PC?
As the title implies, considering HD Native on a dual 6 core Westmere with the L5639 2.13 GHz (2.4 overclocking) or dual x5570 Nehalem machine 2.93 GHz (3.33 overclocking). Any thoughts? I am currently (home systems) on a HD2 PCI on a xw8400. With Revibe going native, I can replace the one or two TDM only/most likely won't be AAX DSP plugins.

I've not used either machine but I think cores trumps speed for the most part. Also aren't the westmere's a newer architecture? Even though they're "slower" you may not be giving up much compute power.
