Default IE8 and Install, ever resolved?
Any word on this? Windows 7 will be out in full in less than 2 months and shipping with IE8. Some of us are already running it and hoping for a fix soon.

never had a problem with IE8 and PT on my system. Running fine.

It appears the IE8 problem may only relate to XP users.

I'm a Vista 32-bit user and it killed my system a few months back.

This isn't entirely solved - meaning that there are still some plug-ins that need to be updated before we can call this 'closed'.

We're working on the plug-in updates currently...

Yeah, I'm running Vista and the last time I tried installing IE8 (couple weeks ago) it messed up my system.. still running 7.4, hope they will release a CS update for that.
