Control|24 and ProControl with Pro Tools 11?

The S6 is more colorful then my Xmas tree! Looks like just a bunch of bells and whistles for an awful lot of $$$. Glad to see this thread is still going. If I treated my customers like Avid has been, I would be out of business a long time ago. For now PT10 and Control 24 working just fine!!!!

There are folks who will not forget this crap anytime soon, myself included. Avid should take a lesson from Harrison:
"Supporting older platforms is a difficult engineering task, but it pays off because customers are more comfortable knowing that their investment in a Harrison console can outlast several generations of other systems"

I think they did take that lesson from Harrison by introducing the Icon which makes that level of ongoing support financially feasible. Pro Control was priced a heck of a lot lower than a Harrison!

Absolutely. I am at a point where the additional voice capability of HDX seems attractive, but if it kills my Pro Control to use PT11 with HDX I will stick with what I've got.

Even 10 customers making this purchase would be enough for Avid to finance the programmer time to convert the Pro Control & Control|24 driver to 64bit.

Goodwill to all Avid customers and peace on the DUC. Could it happen?

My option is to just come to terms that controllers of this price are not financially feasible even if i could afford it, i cannot afford it again and again and again. I'm just going to keep mine where it is and when clients ask why I don't use it, Im just going to tell them the truth.
