Default Transport Controls

Apparently, I've hit a combination of keys or something, I can't figure out how to undo???

The Space Bar no longer functions as Stop/Start
for some reason, it now it's Start / Pause

This makes it kind of hard to work in the edit window.
How do I get it back ???

Thanks in advance.

Are you in pre-prime?

Pause (pre-prime deck for instant playback & record) . . . . .Start - spacebar or Alt- click on Transport play button

Nope ... neither of these idea's are working.

Yesterday I spent some time on another similar system, and made a few notes which will best describe the problem.

When I hit PLAY using either the Spacebar or "0" on keypad the song starts playing from ZERO in this case .... when I hit STOP using the same keys, I should return to ZERO no matter how much time just went by... that's not happening, the transport is PAUSING instead and starts from however much Pre-Roll I've set up.

In the Edit Window, if I highlight a particular region of audio and hit PLAY, it will play that audio, plus whatever pre-post times that have been setup ... however when I STOP, that region should STILL be selected or highlighted .... that's not happening, my region becomes un-active once I hit STOP.

It makes it really hard to work and involves more steps involved to use the transport.

Any more idea's ??? I'm sure it probably something like I forgot to turn the volume knob up or something stupid.

Thanks,

Russ

Have you Unselected "Link Timeline And Edit Selection"?

And/or go to Preferences and make sure "Timeline Insertion/Play Start Marker Follows Playback" is Unchecked. (That's what Ctrl+N does).

Cheers,

Hey thanks Weed. I thought we were close to solving the problem, but .... NOW no matter where I click a new start point, transport always goes back to Zero !!!!! Yikes !!!

That Ctrl+N doesn't seem to do anything ??? but my regions are remaining active like they should.
