PT11 Midi Editor Grid to 64th, but steps only 16th

Hi,

I have a strange situation, where I cannot move or create notes in the midi editor in PT11 in smaller steps than 16th. I have the grid on 64th, but still not working.

Also when I load a file from PT10, where there are 64th steps in it, the notes are all "quantized" to 16th.
Is this the problem, quantization?
Where can I set this up? This is happening globally! To all tracks.

Works fine here.

Are you aware that you can have a different grid value in the MIDI Editor? The grid in the edit window may be 60 ticks, but the MIDI editor could still be 240 ticks. Just throwing that out there.

Also, what hardware and exact PT version are you running?

As I had another problem, which I used my one month ASCs for free from my HDX for, I asked that question in the meantime.

It came out, that it w a s quantization. I needed to open a midi-editor window (important, does not work in the editor window below the track window) and right-click on "MIDI Real-Time Properties". There the quantization was on 16th, so I switched the quantization off and clicked on "Write to Clip". Solved!!
