My first flag is that you tried to install Pro Tools onto your second drive (Not C:) when installing to XP. I'm pretty sure Pro Tools works only when installed on the C: Drive.

Hey Benoni. The OP does specify he's using both XP and W7 as 32bit. Would you be able to verify my C: Drive guess above?

To the OP, I agree with Benoni. You should start a total reformat. Leave one drive clear for your audio and partition as you like on the other.

Oh. Didn't realize that. Never installed two different OS on two separate drives (Partitioning one always seemed best).

I agree 100% about using the 1TB as the record-to drive.

I also agree that we should have suggested the Sandra report. LOL

Original poster, please Install and Run this for best results of help towards your problem

because the 1T be formated to a Dynamic disk by win7 Automatically that PT can't recording on it, but the 250G one is ok. so i installed xp and PT on that disk. but the problem still come out...so i guess it's the problem of usb??

i'll try upload SANDRA report later..thanks for your help`
