Default MIDI interface problems

I am operating on a Mac using version 7.3 HD. I have a Digidesign MIDI interface.I installed the driver disk that it came with and in the MIDI set up I am still not seeing the interface to connect my keyboards to it. Does any body have any suggestions?

Actually, I think it may have been installed in the Digidesign application folder. If not do a search on the digi site. Sorry, it has been several months since I did it and I don't remember.

I don't know if the firmware is the issue or not. As I remember there was a specific set of steps to follow to update the firmware. You had to hold a button on the midi i/o during power-up or something like that. I'm pretty sure the instructions are displayed when you start the process.

What do you mean you haven't had any luck?
