Default Anyone have luck with 11 on a mid-07 Core 2 duo iMac?

So I have to get a new machine to even mess with 11. In the meantime, I'm curious to try the demo on my iMac, which runs Mountain Lion, but is NOT on the list of qualified machines. It's a mid-2007 Core 2 duo machine topped out with it's 4GB RAM. Anyone have any luck running 11 on one of these?

Just try it out. Maybe you can borrow an ilok from a buddy or something like that.

Curious as well..

I run the same machine as EricWillhelm.

Waiting for new releases this fall before upgrading...

I want to try it out, but if it doesn't work, then my 30 days will waste away. Don't have anyone who can spare their ilok for that long.

Do you have a friend who already has PT11? You can borrow both his Ilok with the license on it, and a copy of his installer. That way you don't have to waste the 30 day demo opportunity.

But I'd have to hold on to his iLok for the 30 days to be able to use it, right? I don't know anyone who wants to hand it over for a month. But I see what you're saying. Just to first see if it works. Roger.

So buy an ilok2 and get the PT11 demo. You're going to need the second generation ilok sooner or later so might as well get it now.

Oh yeah - that 4 gig will barely let you do much so anything you're doing on this machine will be severely restricted.

Have the ilok already. Just wondering if anyone's tried opening PT11 on the machine I mentioned.

Going in a circle here! The issue is, I want to make sure it'll work on this machine before I start the clock on the demo.

UNLESS of course the clock doesn't start until I successfully launch the program?
